Running A Marathon

I find analogies very useful in my recovery and so here’s another…

Recovery is a bit like running a race:

  • You have to fuel your body and give yourself energy
  • You have to keep the finish line in sight
  • You have to keep moving forwards
  • You have to keep the focus on you and your performance
  • You can have a support team behind you, but on the day, It’s down to you
  • You can’t let what other people are doing distract you or drag you down, stay focused
